Snapshot Saturday

I haven't done Snapshot Saturday in a while!  We did trunk-or-treat at church tonight and had a blast!  There were hundreds of kids and we gave out tons of candy.  What an awesome Saturday with family and friends!

Halloween!

Chris and I spent hours and hours trying to come up with what to dress up as for Halloween.  I haven't really dressed up in a long long time and we were going to a costume party.  I pretty much decided what I wanted to be and Chris had left his costume up to me because he had to work.  I had no more ideas so I picked up an Indiana Jones hat and whip at Party City.  I had my doubts about whether he would go for it.  Well, when he got home he looked at the costume.  He didn't hate it I guess, just not what he had in mind.  In a few minutes he had decided what he wanted to be.  I went to a school party for about an hour and came home to pick Chris up to go to the costume party.  This is what I found:
Yes, you got it, UT Santa Claus.  We had this at home and yes it was free.  It was also very random.  He was quite happy as Mr. Claus.  It was a fun night!
An interesting pair!:)

October, Where Did You Go??

Doesn't this picture just give you that nice feeling of coziness?  Chris and I have a full, busy weekend ahead with two Halloween parties tomorrow night, trunk-or-treating at church on Saturday, and a bonfire with friends from church on Sunday.  There are costumes to make (oh yeah, and come up with), treats to bake, and we'll just throw in a little community nursing test tomorrow.  However, I'm hoping for just a little bit of time to sit down with that cutie and enjoy some time together.  October flew by before I even knew it!

Lovin' It!

It's been a pretty good week around here.  Last weekend we had an awesome camping trip!  We went to Frozen Head State Park.  Friday night we pretty much froze.  It was one of those times that I thought, "I'll never be warm again!"  Have you ever felt like that?  Saturday night was much more comfortable, ending up with Sunday worship and volleyball!  It was a great weekend.  On Monday morning it was storming.  Normally, I'm not crazy about days that start off rainy, but that was a pretty cool storm.  The weather has been gorgeous other than that and I am certainly enjoying this time of year.  I had to get a picture of this tree before the leaves were gone.  They look almost neon!!
I also had to take pictures of the sunset on the way to church tonight.  Beautiful!  In the Spring I say that it is my favorite time of year.  However, in the Fall, I say the same thing.  Fall has got to be the winner, though.
I put lots of camping pictures on my Facebook page, but I wanted to leave you with this one:
These girls are fabulous!  So blessed!

Oh Glorious Weekend!

Soooo....I have been a single mommy this week. (To Bailey) Chris has been in Wisconsin for job training and I have been here all on my lonesome.  Well, it's probably for the best because this was my last careplan week.  I worked for hours!  We missed Chris, though, and he's coming home tonight---just in time for camping!!  We're going with friends from church to Frozen Head State Park for some tent sleeping, S'more making, and campfire sitting.  I'm soooo excited.  It's Fall Break, my careplanning is done (at least for this semester), and my cute husband is coming home!  Did I mention that I'm loving this gorgeous weather?  Hope you have a wonderful weekend and do something Fall-ish!

A Random Post

Last weekend Chris and I went to my Mama's house!  We were only there for a day and a half but we had an awesome time!  Ghengis Grill for dinner on Friday night plus a little Francesca's shopping!  What a fun night!  Then we had a great visit with my Grandmother on Saturday plus a little cupcake party for an early birthday for Stacey.  I would have loved to have stayed for another week but it was great to see my family.
These pictures are really random and don't have much to do with the trip at all.  Don't think I'm weird, but it was a beautiful beautiful day on Friday and I just laid out in the yard with Bailey looking at the blue sky and pretty trees.  Bailey was a great subject for photography but I'm pretty sure it started annoying him.:)
treat? walk? park? trip?
Told you they were random!  Anyway, our weekend was great and we were able to get back for a great day at church on Sunday!  Miss my Mama though.

Whew!  Just finished my 3rd out of 4 care plans this morning around 2:41.  Good thing I have the day off!  This has been a tough 3 weeks.  I'm sure it's obvious from my lack of postings.  Sometimes I don't even feel like I have a second to breathe!
There have been some very high points this last week.  Last weekend we went on a family retreat in Greenville, TN with our church.  It was awesome!  Free throw contests, softball, rifle shooting, and a great speaker!  Oh, don't let me forget the food!  We had a blast.  I had very good intentions to study during down times that weekend.  It didn't happen.
Tuesday I got my hair done.  Don't laugh, this is a big thing!  I've gotta enjoy the small things in life too!  Let's just say I was exhausted after a clinical day and might have fallen asleep under the hair dryer.  And when I got my hair washed. (Aaaaahh!)
This weekend Chris and I are going to see my Mama.  I have seen her in weeks!  Miss that lady!  I hope to get to visit my grandmother and see my sister for an early birthday dinner.  Lots to do on the agenda!
Sooo...this rotation of nursing school has turned out to be pretty challenging.  I have one week left and then a much easier rotation next.  I'm tired just thinking about it but there are things to look forward to-my mama this weekend and camping next weekend.  Now let's just make it through this next week.

Gotta Keep Moving!

Well, here I am, almost at the halfway point of my hardest rotation.  Hours and hours and hours of careplanning and studying have gone into the past two weeks.  Thank goodness for weekends!  Anyway, here's to being almost halfway through and sticking it out to the end!  I think I can!  I can do all things through Him who gives me strength!

Happiness

I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to be relaxing, reading, cleaning only if I feel like it, and hanging out with my husband on a beautiful Fall day!  Her Daughter's Dream is halfway read, the house is halfway clean, and chili ingredients are on the counter for tonight.  The Vols play football today, and, no matter who wins, I am just thankful to have my husband home to watch the game with.  I LOVE that he doesn't have to work on Saturdays anymore!  Nope, it's not all roses...I am pretending at least until tomorrow that I don't have any homework.  On this bright, sunny, October day though, things in my world are pretty good.  Thank you God for lovely weather and husbands at home!!
